Consumer Rights and Responsibilities

Consumer Rights and Responsibilities

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is a government agency who’s regulations protect consumers who are moving interstate (between two states), and define the rights and responsibilities of consumers (people who are moving) and the moving companies (also known as household goods carriers) that they hire.

Palmer Moving Services is a professional mover and we always strive to provide our customers with information about your rights and responsibilities in an interstate move. We are a reputable moving company that has been in business since 1910 and we want to ensure that you understand the terms and conditions of the contract, and understand the remedies that are available to you in case there is a problem. Palmer Moving Services will provide you with additional written information describing our procedure for handling any questions and complaints, and you can always call our support team to obtain additional information about your move or to get answers to any questions you may have.

For your convenience we have included the most recent Rights and Responsibilities handbook on our website for you to download or you may visit the FMCSA website at https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/consumer-rights.
