Moved from Atlanta to Columbus, OH area back in June 2014 and had to utilize storage in Columbus area. The Palmer have always been terrific ( have utilized them for over 20 years personally & professionally) The local storage company was unprofessional, rude, indignant and not very accommodating (this was not Palmer folks…sadly).
I moved from Royal Oak, MI to Chicago, IL with a stop to pickup more furniture in between. My timeline was quite uncertain until the week of my move and Palmer did everything in their power to accommodate. I don’t recall the specific names of my movers, but they were quite kind and jolly while also paying attention to any detailed request. Overall, the move was excellent.

From my initial contact with Palmer Moving Services, everything went very smoothly. All commitments were fulfilled on time and within the estimate. From the professional that came out to provide the estimate and let us know what to expect and when, to the packing and moving crew, every thing was done very professionally and efficiently.

If we think about the entire process from having to have our home ready for prospective buyers for a year, selling our home, packing to move and for the estate sale, the problems with the closing that was delayed for almost 2 weeks on a day by day basis, and the 5 hour closing ordeal when the title company and the lender didn’t agree on some of the new federal government terms, it was a move from hell. The only good thing about it was the friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism of the people from Palmer Moving Services both before the move and when we actually did finally move.
Palmer moving Services is a great company! There are some instances where a mistake or two is made during a move which is to be expected. We are all human and make mistakes. If its so easy to rent a uhaul and do it yourself why do people hire movers? Answer is because most people cant do this themselves even once or twice in a lifetime. These guys do this everyday. Their bodies are abused and pushed to the breaking point daily. So before casting stones try to do it yourself and you will find yourself calling movers next time . Also the majority of items that do get damaged or broke are because of negligent packing most of the time by the shipper. Which is referred to as p.b.o which stands for packed by owner or in the trade pile of broken objects. These people are trained professionals so lets show them a little respect for they make our lives alot easier, for the few bad reviews there are tens of thousands of satisfied customers.
My 4 man crew promptly arrived a few minutes before 8 am and went straight to work, Louis and Cullin were two of them. All the guys were very professional and very polite. It took them about 6 hours to move all the contents left in my 4 bedroom house, to pack, wrap and load them onto the 53 foot semi. The guys were fast moving, which is awesome since they bill by the hour. They took less than a 30 minute lunch break, which was the only break they took. Overall a great experience which relieved me of so much stress. I even got a phone call and a home visit that day during the move to make sure everything was going well. The best part : they came in like $1000 less than their estimate!! Awesome!! So glad I went with Palmer!
I found the company online and called for a quote. They quoted my move quickly after I answered several questions about the move. The quote was received in my email box within an hour after we spoke. Scheduled the day and time with no problem. They called several times to make sure the move was still going to happen. The movers showed up on time, and they worked hard. The only problem we had was that they didn’t have a large enough truck for the movers to do the move in one trip. It was good that I didn’t move further than 10 miles from where I was previously living. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. The movers were great. I would definitely hire them again for my next move and will recommend them to others to use.
This company was referred to me by a family friend and I’m very happy I booked with them. From the time I called their office, everything was very pleasant. I called pretty last minute and they were able to fit me in that week. The gentleman doing the quote was extrememly friendly. The office staff were polite and called when they said they would. They had reminder calls and called before and after to assess my satisfaction. On moving day, my crew of 3 arrived on time and went straight to work, only taking a 15 min break the whole time. I was very happy with this company and would recommend to anyone!
The planning with Carlo went smoothly and all of the dates and times were met. Pat and Brandon did a good job packing, loading and ensuring all of our needs were met. We had no issues with broken or lost items. Everything was marked well and easy to unpack once we got to our new house. The whole process went well and we would recommend the company and crew to our fiends and colleagues. We were please with the company and the specific people we dealt with.
My husband and I moved from MI to CO and used Palmer to pack, load and deliver our belongings. We could not be happier with the customer service and drivers we worked with. John and John, our movers, were extremely friendly and professional. On moving day a member of the staff called to check in to make sure everything was going well and address any questions and concerns. The same call was made on delivery day. I want EVERYONE to know that Palmer North-American Moving Services is THE best!!!! Not one single thing arrived in Florida broken or marred. Things were done when they said they’d be, from the packing to the deliveries. Everyone was VERY professional and caring. When Rocky, one of our packers, was packing up the urn that contains my beloved cat Ashley’s ashes, he handled it with the utmost respect and care. It was like he was handling his own pet’s ashes. Jason, my driver, kept in close contact with me as he was making his way down here (from Michigan to Florida). They (Palmer) get FIVE stars out of FIVE from this happy customer. And the pricing, in comparison, was great. For what they charged me including the packing, was what other companies quoted me WITHOUT them packing. GO PALMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a wonderful experience with Palmer during a year-long packup, move out, store, and move in process. They were constantly in communication with us, helped us out of more than one challenging situation, and had absolutely top notch customer service. The unload crew was incredible, getting nearly 300 items safely into our brand new construction home in just under 6 hours without a single ding of the wall, scratch of the floor, or smash of a window. The person that came to estimate the cost was very professional and helpful. He explained things in detail and gave an accurate estimate. The communication before the move was thorough and provided detailed information about how the move would go. The movers were great. They were very professional also and very friendly. They came at exactly the time they said they would be there and were very careful with all of our items during the packing and moving.

I can’t write enough good things about this company. We had a long distance move from Michigan to Florida, with two stops once down there. From the time Rocky and Brandon came to pack our belongings to the time Jason and Tom came to load the van, our things were handled with care. The packers we very efficient, arriving on time at 8am, taking their time to carefully pack and mark which cartons were going to which stop. Rocky took extra care when handling my cat’s ashes, wrapping her urn with consideration and tenderness. Jason, our driver, and his helper Tom, arrived on time and treated my belongings with extreme care while loading into the van. We checked and cross-checked all cartons to make sure which destination they were going to and things were doubled checked to be marked properly with corresponding color labels. Tracie from the office was in constant contact with me during each step of the move, confirming arrival of the packers/drivers and my satisfaction with the services at each point. Jason, called me several times to confirm his location (he had several other stops on his way down to Florida). Once in Florida, he called from St. Petersburg to let me know he’d be there within 45 minutes, which he was. Unloading the van, Jason took great care to make sure only the items that we destined for Ellenton were unloaded at Ellenton. Items that had been disassembled in Michigan, were reassembled and placed in the appropriate locations in the house in Ellenton. Again, items were cross-checked to make sure everything was accounted for. I followed my drivers to Margate, on the other side of the state, in my rental car. Upon arrival at Margate, the drivers very skillfully maneuvered the very tight parking area at my condo. I was amazed at the way they were able to get that huge van into that complex. Again, my items were unloaded from the van and everything cross checked to make sure my shipment was complete. Anything disassembled was reassembled. Once the drivers left, I immediately started unpacking cartons. I found absolutely nothing broken, damaged, cracked or missing. The following day, I returned to Ellenton and assisted my son in unpacking cartons there. Again, nothing was broken, damaged cracked or missing. To neither location, was there any damage to the residence. I would absolutely recommend Palmer Moving Services to anyone considering a long distance move. As far as pricing, their pricing was reasonable in my opinion. The estimate I was given included Palmer packing. Other estimates I had gotten came in at close to the same price, however, did NOT include them packing. Those people who have given this company poor reviews confuse me, as my experience with Palmer Moving Services was nothing but extremely positive!
Palmer Moving Deserves High Praise We retired and moved from Michigan to Tennessee. The entire move experience was made much less stressful, due in a large part, to our selecting Palmer Moving Services, the representative for Atlas Van Lines in our area. Since our own move, we have recommended Palmer Moving to several people. Two of our friends actually then booked Palmer Moving for their moves and were completely satisfied with the level of service they received. We originally selected Palmer Moving Services for two reasons. One was the competitive price quoted and the other was the overall level of customer service on the part of the Relocation Consultant, Carlo Pertot. Our decision was reinforced along the way by each one of Palmer’s employees. Carlo was very patient in answering all of our many questions and making sure that we felt a high level of confidence prior to us even booking our move. In his professional and polite manner, he promptly responded to emails and phone messages. After the booking, when we were passed to the Move Coordinator, Barb Malak, that level of customer service continued. Barb’s positive “can do” attitude is great and her assistance was greatly appreciated. Everyone we encountered, from the office to the warehouse, was exceptionally pleasant and very willing to ensure we had all that we needed for the upcoming move. The most visual face of any Moving Company is, of course, the Van Operator, and we cannot say enough good things about what Matt Bevins did to make our move go so smoothly. The attention given to even the smallest detail was incredible. Matt was extremely organized; packing and loading our household goods with more care than was expected. His crew worked diligently to safeguard and protect our possessions and not one single thing was damaged. We are very appreciative of his hard work and grateful that he was assigned to our move!
